I don't like the character. LOL Right, because he was overly religious and preachy...and yet,he really wasn't. Now this could get us into the realm of ridiculousness. If I saw the Creature From the Black Lagoon in real life i'd probably shit myself. LOL The Creature looks too ridiculous to be menacing... Not only was it's mouth smaller, it didn't have the knife like teeth that I find cool as hell about these creatures. If you haven't noticed I take my xenomorphs seriously. I have a tattoo that consists of a giant queen alien and a horde of warrior aliens wrapping around her. A little too serious it seems...now its teeth weren't sharp enough? Jesus man,it looks enough like an Alien to me and it kills without mercy...Thats all I care about. These monsters are precious to me and I didn't like the dog alien. Just let me not like the fucking thing will ya.LOL Not till I've heard a non anal and valid reason... It had a cool opening credit sequence. LOL More than that even... That's a strong element to her character for sure. She lost 57 years and had enough of being scared of these bio-mechanical beasts. It was time for her to face her fears and she did. The fact that she even went to LV-426 shows that. Your teacher and classmate still deserve a swift kick to their knees. Everything else about them is cool though so I let that flaw slide. They were way more insect like in Aliens. Come on now. In physical look? I don't think so...not as much as in Alien 3.

In your eyes, not mine. If you haven't noticed, in life, people actually see things differently than others. That is the essence of your internet handicap. You don't grasp that concept when things you like are not seen the same way by others. You've actually said that my personal feelings towards a film aren't valid and that I haven't given any legit reasons as to why I don't like Alien 3. LOL That's some warped shit right there. LOL
Ok, how about the bog monster in Kolchak? The whole point is that, while I don't find a design of a movie monster appealing, it could scare me nontheless in real life. LOL We have officially entered the ridiculous dome.
That's not the only Giger inspired piece I have. I also have a beautiful, abominable, Lovecraft piece. Do you have any ink?
That is some sad shit right there. This is without a doubt my last foray into a Kefka convo. Absolutely horrible Kefka...LOL
This would be where I would put a rolling eye emoticon if I didn't think the thing was lame as all hell. That was one of the most predictable posts i've ever read. Gross..
I don't see it that way at all but to each his own.

You've actually said that my personal feelings towards a film aren't valid and that I haven't given any legit reasons as to why I don't like Alien 3. LOL That's some warped shit right there. LOL See,just as you're offended that Alien 3 was made because you think it sucks,I'm offended by those that bitch about it like you are. Why? Cause they usually don't have a good enough reason to hate it. I'd figure you would be different cause it seems to me you've got some brains, but all I've been hearing are the same non rational nitpicks I've always been hearing. Clemons was decent but Charles Dutton (aka Roc)? His religious spewing character did nothing but annoy me. He and his preachy ways annoyed me. Leave sister, I have to have a word with the brothers. HA HA HA.. Shut the fuck up Roc. Those are YOUR own words as to why you hate Dillion...you claim he was overly religious and preachy about his religion...I then asked you to provide some other examples other than his cremation speech and referring to his inmates as "brothers" and "sister" (which technically doesn't even count because he could just be calling them that because they are his family now that he is locked away in prison for life.). What I got from you was a change of subject about the faults of its bad location, which also didn't seem to have any real basis since apparently you didn't catch on to the paralells between the location (a prison) and Ripley's overall stage in her struggle against her issues with the Alien(s). Nobody is denying you of your right to hate the movie, nor are you being denyed the right to hate the Dillion character...but you should at least be able to properly explain your reasoning. Again, you say you don't like Dillion because he is overly religious and preaches too much about it...so you should have no trouble coming up with many examples in the movie where he tries to preach to people about god...cause all I see is one instance...2 if you want to get really technical. Everything else was motivation to get the inmates to stand up and fight the Alien...that was his role as a leader archtype. It would be who of you to not mix up fact with subjectivity. Ok, how about the bog monster in Kolchak? The whole point is that, while I don't find a design of a movie monster appealing, it could scare me nontheless in real life. LOL We have officially entered the ridiculous dome. But even your design issues are non rational nitpicks. Not a wide enough mouth? Its teeth aren't sharp enough? What next? Too much of its skeleton showing? If I were you,I wouldn't read some of the Dark Horse Alien comics or collect some of the old Alien action figures, cause at one point there was a Bull Alien...complete with horns and hoof like feet. It looks and acts like an Alien...therefore,its menacing enough. That's not the only Giger inspired piece I have. I also have a beautiful, abominable, Lovecraft piece. Do you have any ink? Negative...nor do I want any. As much as I like something,I'm not gonna get it tattooed on me...because theres a possibility I might not like it anymore later in life and now I've got this tattoo of it that requires painful and expensive surgery to remove and that will leave lots of scaring. I can't help but laugh at people that get their girlfriend's/boyfriend's name tattooed on them, only to end up breaking up with them. That is some sad shit right there. This is without a doubt my last foray into a Kefka convo. Absolutely horrible Kefka...LOL Not as horrible as some of your reasoning as to why Alien 3 sucks. Again, you can hate it all you like...I can't and won't perform any surgery on your brain to make you like it...but you should at least be able to properly defend your stance when your feelings on it are called into question...YOU made the statements,so YOU have the burden of proof. I've already shown great flaws in your efforts to explain your reasoning behind your Alien 3 hate...just like with everybody that doesn't like the movie it seems. "I just don't like it" isn't good enough...because that goes hand in hand with Stupid Retort That Gets on My Nerves #3:"Because I said so is good enough" This would be where I would put a rolling eye emoticon if I didn't think the thing was lame as all hell. That was one of the most predictable posts i've ever read. Gross.. I didn't know predictable responses could be physically repulsive,or "gross" as you put it. I just didn't want to come right out and say it...besides its good production values and cool credits,it also has good writting and dialogue,a good story (its a great conclusion...and the prison location strenghens this),and good acting...AND a good and unique Alien design too

Why is it non rational that I didn't like the characters, story, score, and Alien in the film? Why Kefka?!!!!! Why?!!! HA HA HA HA...I don't like eggs Kefka. You know why? Because I don't like the taste of'em. You see where i'm going with this?
But the religious element to his character is there at all times. You actually thought that I was insuating that he conducted sermons in every scene? The way he carries himself and delivers his lines has a kind of annoying, righteous, overtone. I....don't.....like.....him. I did not think he was cool, nor did he evoke any kind of empathy from me. Those elements are paramount for me liking him.
I get all that but it doesn't work for me. Alot of that has to do with the fact that isolated locations have been done already in the first two. And watching an entire film where I don't like any of the characters in an isolated location doesn't help either. They had no weapons, so what? There was not a time in the whole film where I was thrilled, scared, or suspensed in any way.
Read my second retort.
And I fucking love that bio-mechanical abomination. I would love to see that beast on celluloid.
Again, to each his own. Like I said in one of my other posts. The dog alien isn't a radical new design which I think hurts the film considering it's only one Alien. Basically there's alot of regurgitation going on. Alien had one creature that hid in dark corridors and slowly, but surely, killed off most of the characters. It's been done already to perfection. I didn't find Ripley's journey in this one fascinating or fun to watch in the slightest.
I will always love Lovecraft and Giger creations for the rest of my life. Don't know why i'm saying this though.LOL And anybody who gets anything to do with their significant other as a tattoo has most surely doomed their relationship. That's the kiss of death for a relationship.LOL
I accidentally deleted your post of me not having VALID (lol) reasons for not liking this piece of shit. If what's above isn't enough for you then I don't know what to tell you. LOL...This is madness.LOL

Why is it non rational that I didn't like the characters, story, score, and Alien in the film? Why Kefka?!!!!! Why?!!! HA HA HA HA...I don't like eggs Kefka. You know why? Because I don't like the taste of'em. You see where i'm going with this? I didn't say you not liking this movie was non rational...I said your REASONS and EFFORTS OF EXPLAINING THEM were. You honestly don't think an extremely anal nitpick of the Alien's mouth not being big enough or its teeth not being sharp enough ISN'T an irrational reason to hate the Alien's design? Cause it sure looks like it from where I'm sitting. But the religious element to his character is there at all times. You actually thought that I was insuating that he conducted sermons in every scene? Being preachy indicates that one would preach about a certain element (in Dillion's case, religion) near constintly...again,your own words and again Dillion did no such thing. The way he carries himself and delivers his lines has a kind of annoying, righteous, overtone. I....don't.....like.....him. I did not think he was cool, nor did he evoke any kind of empathy from me. Those elements are paramount for me liking him. Righteous would indicate that he was completely holy and without sin...he wasn't...he even acknowledged that he wasn't. He was commanding in his speeches because he was a born leader. Again,I can't force you to like the character...but you really should do a better job of explaining why you dislike him. Ok you thought he was annoying and not cool...gotcha. I get all that but it doesn't work for me. Alot of that has to do with the fact that isolated locations have been done already in the first two. You ever heard the saying "If it ain't broke, don't fix it"? Isolated locations are the series' bread and butter. Hell if I took that kind of rationale,I would hate the other Dead films in Romero's series...cause he already did the isolated location element perfectly in Night. And watching an entire film where I don't like any of the characters in an isolated location doesn't help either. They had no weapons, so what? There was not a time in the whole film where I was thrilled, scared, or suspensed in any way. See,now this is a better way of explaining why you think it sucks. And I fucking love that bio-mechanical abomination. I would love to see that beast on celluloid. And yet,you get uptight over a miniscule change like the size of an Alien's mouth and the sharpness of its teeth? Again, to each his own. Like I said in one of my other posts. The dog alien isn't a radical new design which I think hurts the film considering it's only one Alien. For the movies,it damn certainly is new and radical. Unless you can point out where else you saw a Dog Alien in the first two films. Some people only like the films...to them,it was quite new. Radical because the Aliens in the first two movies were bread from humans and had human physical traits. Basically there's alot of regurgitation going on. Alien had one creature that hid in dark corridors and slowly, but surely, killed off most of the characters. It's been done already to perfection. As far as I can see,the scenario you described is the only regurgitation, and that was done for a valid reason...so because it was already done perfectly, that makes Alien 3 a bad movie? Dispite Alien 3 doing things significantly different than what Alien did? I didn't find Ripley's journey in this one fascinating or fun to watch in the slightest. Fair enough...I did because her struggle with the Alien finally overwhelmed her,and what better place to have that happen than a prison...the symbolism there is great. I accidentally deleted your post of me not having VALID (lol) reasons for not liking this piece of shit. If what's above isn't enough for you then I don't know what to tell you. LOL...This is madness.LOL All I'm doing is pointing out some of the holes in your reasons and explainations...I wouldn't expect anything less of you if you were questioning why I hated a film you loved.

Irrational? No, I don't think it's irrational. LOL..
I think I explained myself just fine in the post I made last night.
A person can commit horrible sins and still have a righteous attitude. Look at that piece of shit Tookie Wilson and every other god searching convict.
LOL.. Fuck you
Zombies are different in that there's only so much you can do with them considering they're re-animated corpses and all. All of the great zombie films have the characters hold up in an isolated location. It's almost a standard necessity really for the zombie's to be effectively threatening. The Alien is a totally different monster altogether. They're fast, strong, agile, they use other organisms as hosts, and they build nests. The nature of the beast makes it way more flexible in terms of where one can go with a story than a lumbering, one dimensional, zombie does. It just so happens that I found the place and story that we went to in alien 3 dull and unengaging. And the fact that there were a million and one other places the series could've went to and didn't makes my hatred for this abortion of a film that much more venomous.
LOL..Fuck you..
I don't find that to be a miniscule change and it was for the worse like i've said already 29 times. If they had the bull alien or some other monstrous version that was RADICALLY different from the previous creations then I might've liked this film. Alas, that's not the case.
That's so lame, can I point out any dog aliens in the first two.LOL..No, but how is a crouching alien a RADICAL change? It was an uninspired, and ultimately, bad direction they took with this creature in MY eyes.
No, the fact that it was dull and unengaging makes it a bad movie. I even said that I didn't like the score for this fucking thing.
I recognized the symbolism, so what? It doesn't change the fact that I found this film to be dull and unengaging. Even if they symbolized where Ripley was in her life. That shit doesn't make me like a film. When i'm not thrilled, engaged, suspensed, made to laugh, grossed out, or emotionally invested in the characters and story, 10 times out of 10 i'm not going to like it.

i think the point is that you dont have to have 6,000 reasons why you dont like something. its perfectly fine to not like something for no other reason than you think it sucked. the endless faggetry gets lame after a while. at some point Kef you will have to accept the fact that people dont all think like you do and also that they dont have to justify that to you either.
not that the useless "point/counterpoint" dribble isnt a tad funny, its just useless. it just seems that you think at some point the other guy is gonna say "holy shit Kef, you have made me see the error of my ways! i TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU!!!!!!!!!!!"
and BTW, Alien rules, Alien 2 is OK, and anything after that sucks. thats my opinion and its gonna be that way no matter what, the end.
EDIT: i also thought it was very ironic that Kefka used these phrases throught this topic:
"Not till I've heard a non anal and valid reason..."
"all I've been hearing are the same non rational nitpicks I've always been hearing"
"And yet,you get uptight over a miniscule change like the size of an Alien's mouth and the sharpness of its teeth?"
"Wow,thats some pretty big nitpicking you're doin there"
holy fuck dude, all those quotes are from you, and they are all indicitive of the shit YOU DO. you are anal, nitpicky, and uptight to a fault! funny shit, but this was my favorite:
"In the Format and Screenwriting class I took last quarter, both a classmate AND my teacher both expressed their dislike for Aliens."
whoopdefuckindoo! are you N2N now?

Irrational? No, I don't think it's irrational. LOL.. "Its mouth wasn't big enough and its teeth weren't sharp enough." Thats almost as anal and irrational as people complaining that the zombies in Dawn were too blue. I think I explained myself just fine in the post I made last night. You did better than you've been doing, but still not that great. A person can commit horrible sins and still have a righteous attitude. Look at that piece of shit Tookie Wilson and every other god searching convict. right·eous adj. 1. Morally upright; without guilt or sin.2. In accordance with virtue or morality. 3. Morally justifiable. "Righteous" isn't really a good word to associate with convicts, cause even if they have found god and are trying to walk the straight and narrow, they've still sinned enough to having no choice but to acknowledge that they have guilt about sinning. Dillon REALLY doesn't follow the last two...Beating the living crap out of his fellow inmates with a pipe is hardly in accordance with virtue and morality nor is it morally justifiable, even if it was to save a woman getting raped. Hey you fucking watch your fucking language, there could be goddamn kids reading this fucking board damnit. I think you missed the point of what I was trying to say. Forget about the differences between zombies and Aliens cause thats not even a real factor in the argument. They both had the isolated location to induce claustrophobia factor in every single movie in each respectable series. You said it was already done perfectly in Alien,so this would mean the only thing that made Aliens interesting and new is that there were more of them including a leader (The Queen). Then you hate Alien 3 for "regurgitating back to its roots" because the scenario was already done perfectly in Alien, therefore it shouldn't have had an isolated and claustrophobic location. Taking that rationale into consideration,I shouldn't like any Dead film that came after Night because it never strayed from its isolated location formula when that was already done perfectly in Night. They're all a regurgitation of Night in some form. It added some minor new elements in each one (just like Alien 3 did),but none of them top Night...because not only was its location the most isolated, but the building the characters were held up in was the smallest (therefore most claustrophobic) of the entire series. The overall point is that this factor is what drives both respective series. Who cares if it wasn't done as perfectly as another movie in the series? Thats just anal. It just so happens that I found the place and story that we went to in alien 3 dull and unengaging. And the fact that there were a million and one other places the series could've went to and didn't makes my hatred for this abortion of a film that much more venomous. Yet another example of proper explaination of why you hate it. This I can accept as valid reasoning. Sure beats shitty nitpicks like "Its mouth wasn't big enough/teeth weren't sharp enough" and "The scenario was already done perfectly in Alien". Whoa,I think I just experienced Deja Vu... I don't find that to be a miniscule change and it was for the worse like i've said already 29 times. You can say it 600 times and it would STILL be miniscule...especially with all those shots of the Alien's face right in front of the camera before it strikes just like in the other films where the mouth looks bigger than it actually is...oh wait, but the teeth aren't sharp enough either, right? If they had the bull alien or some other monstrous version that was RADICALLY different from the previous creations then I might've liked this film. Alas, that's not the case. IT WAS radically different from the previous creations! Don't you get it?! Alien-human Aliens-human Alien 3-dog A dog isn't radically different than a human? ALL Aliens look and act like Aliens,no matter what host it comes from. Some just have slightly different traits than others. The Dog Alien's was that it was faster and walked on all fours...like a dog. Just think if Alien 3 had a scorpion Alien...You'd REALLY be pissed cause for some reason theres very little difference between that and the human Aliens from what I remember. That's so lame, can I point out any dog aliens in the first two.LOL..No, but how is a crouching alien a RADICAL change? Because it wasn't crouching...it was shaped and walked like a 4 legged animal (like its host) instead of a 2 legged animal (human hosts...like Alien and Aliens)...Hence the radical and new change... It was an uninspired, and ultimately, bad direction they took with this creature in MY eyes. Thats what you feel and thats acceptable...but please, don't mix up the facts with subjectivity. The design WAS new and radical compared to the first two movies just by default alone, let alone its different physical traits. You don't like that and thought it was a bad direction? Cool. All about proper explaination. And before the factor of "standing on its hind legs" is ever brought up,ALL Aliens can do that no matter what kind of host it comes from. Oh and for future reference, the extra emphasis on the word "MY" doesn't make something a justifiable reason. In this case its fine because you're talking about subjective elements. No, the fact that it was dull and unengaging makes it a bad movie. I even said that I didn't like the score for this fucking thing. Thats all subjectable...you didn't like any of it. I can accept that as good valid reasons. Again, thats all for the most part subjective so I can accept that as good reason(s). Just as long as you see the prison location WAS done purposefully and designed solely to conclude Ripley's story. Now if you'll excuse me,I've got some others to deal with...then I'm gonna go watch Alien 3 for the 100th time...

i think the point is that you dont have to have 6,000 reasons why you dont like something. Who said you need 6000 reasons to not like something? I sure didn't. its perfectly fine to not like something for no other reason than you think it sucked. But there should be GOOD REASONS as to why you think it sucks and you should have no trouble explaining them. If you don't have good reasons, why would you think it sucks? the endless faggetry gets lame after a while. at some point Kef you will have to accept the fact that people dont all think like you do and also that they dont have to justify that to you either. Well no shit...most people are also dumber than a box of rocks. Should I accept their dumbass thinking just because "they're different than me"? You and a lot of others sure don't Mr. Glass House. not that the useless "point/counterpoint" dribble isnt a tad funny, its just useless. it just seems that you think at some point the other guy is gonna say "holy shit Kef, you have made me see the error of my ways! i TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU!!!!!!!!!!!" Please show me where I EVER tried to make somebody agree with me? I even said you can hate the movie all you'd like...just be able to properly explain it and show you have legite non anal reasons. The reason why most Alien 3 haters piss me off is because they never have good reasons for hating it...they just spew off a bunch of nitpicks like they just hate the movie just to hate it. I've already acknowledged that SeaHag HAS some valid reasons...but there are some that he has yet to properly explain or are just by nature anal nitpicks. and BTW, Alien rules, Alien 2 is OK, and anything after that sucks. thats my opinion and its gonna be that way no matter what, the end. Let me guess, the teeth weren't sharp enough to your liking? EDIT: i also thought it was very ironic that Kefka used these phrases throught this topic: "Not till I've heard a non anal and valid reason..." "all I've been hearing are the same non rational nitpicks I've always been hearing" "And yet,you get uptight over a miniscule change like the size of an Alien's mouth and the sharpness of its teeth?" "Wow,thats some pretty big nitpicking you're doin there" holy fuck dude, all those quotes are from you, and they are all indicitive of the shit YOU DO. you are anal, nitpicky, and uptight to a fault! Ok...give me an example of a movie where I picked nits? I point out REAL FLAWS. Hell I'll do some right now...for Alien 3 no less. There was a fairly big sized plothole involving a single facehugger being able to attach itself to 2 hosts, cause it's supposed to die after 1. With exception of Dillon (who which,if you couldn't tell,I really liked...because he REALLY WASN'T as preachy and religious as most of the characters of his type...plus he could really take charge and was good at motivating),Clemens, the guy who ends up being the last one left, the warden, and Golic...none of the other inmates were developed. But this is somewhat excuseable because A)It spent enough time with Ripley and the other characters I mentioned to where I had enough people to care about and really didn't need anybody else developed B)They were mere victims for the Alien...pretty much as soon as they were introduced, the Alien got em. Some of the spots where the Alien effect was done using CGI were bad...and I mean bad on a sloppy stop motion level. I'm sure I can think of some more, but I've provided enough...do you see any LITTLE shit like "The Alien's mouth wasn't wide enough,so the design sucks" in there? Cause THAT is a true nitpick. funny shit, but this was my favorite: "In the Format and Screenwriting class I took last quarter, both a classmate AND my teacher both expressed their dislike for Aliens." whoopdefuckindoo! are you N2N now? If by taking new A/V classes (that are taught in a film school fashion) added to my major that I picked 3 years ago (Interactive Multimedia) and if by taking courses about a subject I have high interest in,I guess I am N2N. Let me guess, you think because I take classes about film that somehow makes me smarter right? Nevermind the fact that I haven't learned a damn thing in these classes that I really didn't already know, with exception of how to operate a digital camera and how to edit film footage. Hard to feel smarter than others for taking a class about a subject when you already know enough about said subject to where the classes aren't teaching you much, isn't it? And the only reason why I even brought that up is to show that some people actually don't like Aliens and Alien 3 was made for those specific people.

Sorry, Kefka. I got lost in all the quote and quote so I stopped reading. But you don't like Aliens? Hell no,I LOVE Aliens...slightly more than Alien as a matter of fact. I said my teacher and a classmate for a class I took last quarter didn't like it. This may be hard for you to believe, but A LOT of people actually hated Aliens. In the Format and Screenwriting class I took last quarter, both a classmate AND my teacher both expressed their dislike for Aliens. Their argument is that it had huge continuity issues with Ripley being scared and vunerable in the first to all the sudden being a badass heroine in the second. Personally I think their rationale is blown way out of proportion, but whatever. ^ What I said.
